Balanced Literacy Model
This site gives a look at the Balanced Literacy Model that we use in our school.
Compass Learning
Compass Learning is a great web-based learning program that we use at LVE in the computer lab. This year, students can log in with their user name and password at home. Students can review skills taught in class from Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies with these fun, interactive activities. Did you know that our local library has some really good books on tape? Books on tape are a great way for your child to listen to their favorite stories. Students can hear how books should be read- clearly and fluently. This will increase their vocabulary acquisition and comprehension skills. Check out our local library.
